EMERGENCY MEDICINE

Sheridan Emergency Medicine was created in response to our client facilities` needs. Recognizing Sheridan`s successes in the operating room, client hospitals asked us to bring our management and leadership expertise to their Emergency Departments. Sheridan transitioned Emergency Departments with poor patient and medical staff satisfaction, lengthy patient wait times, high left without treatment rates (LWOT), and poor Core Measure compliance , to fully functioning departments with high marks in Core Measures, Patient Satisfaction, Medical Staff Satisfaction and decreased patient wait times and LWOTs.

Our on-site Medical Director leads the emergency care team. Managing an effective and efficient Department, the emergency care team develops positive, collaborative working relationships among EMS, medical and nursing staffs and hospital administration. Our locally based emergency services teams are encouraged and expected to maintain clinical excellence, and have the autonomy and administrative flexibility to address the individual needs of their patients, referring physicians and client facilities. Sheridan provides the team with access to the clinical, administrative and business support resources of a high quality, national physician organization.

Having expanded to provide services in 6 hospitals, with 90 Emergency Trained or Experienced Physicians, the Division is poised to expand further, and offers tangible solutions to Emergency Department management issues.
